Hi, my name is Kamryn Kasak, and I am a passionate student athlete in the class of 2024. I am from Warren, Michigan. I attend Lutheran High Northwest in Rochester, Michigan. I made a commitment to myself to work hard, discipline myself to reach my goal to play colligate softball, while I gain a solid education. I am a very adventurous and outgoing person. Some fun things I like to do besides playing softball are tubing on my grandparent’s lake, biking, swimming, riding roller coasters, and skiing in the winter. I am also a very completive person and athlete. I love competition and strive to be the best at everything I commit to. Softball is the sport I grew to love overtime and when I started my high school career, I realized I have the drive to be the best I can be and pursue playing softball at the collegiate level.
I was the first freshman ever to start for my high school as a shortstop and that season was a great learning and growing experience not only as a player but maturing as a young adult. I learned to overcome challenges and keep pushing myself mentally and physically to be the best I can be. That season as a freshman I earned Rookie of the Year for my team, second team All-Conference, and All District player. Last year as a sophomore I feel I really matured as a player and my accolades include first team All-Conference, All District and All Regional player. My team has won two back-to-back district championships my first two years and we are going for a third this year.
Other accolades I have gotten include honor roll from 5th grade all the way up to now my junior year in high school, and I also got the McDaniel Academic Award for athletes in my high school who competed in 3 different seasons of sports and maintained a 3.5 or above GPA. Other extracurricular activities I have done have been Eagle Ringers, which is the handbell group for my church, I played the saxophone for the band in grade school, and I also have a passion for working with kids, helping them find their way and grow into their own person. I am volunteering at the boys and girls club this summer and working several softball camps at my school to share my knowledge with other kids about the game I love.
Thank you for viewing my profile and I am confident I will be a great addition to your softball family.
